Queen Victoria is the sixth Vista Class vessel built by Fincantieri. Originally, the fourth vessel of the series was foreseen for Cunard, however, due to the sucess of Queen Mary 2 and her concept of re-enacting 'travelling by liner' Cunard opted for building another ship with 'retro' interior. The more contemporary styled fourth Vista Class vessel is now sailing as Arcadia for P&O.
While being generally well received, Queen Victoria was criticized for her open decks being covered by synthetic material while other Vista Class ship in Carnival group were still fitted out with teak decks.
