Birka Stockholm
now Birka Gotland, ex Birka Paradise

Birka Gotland was originally built as Birka Paradise (later renamed Birka Stockholm) for the now defunct Birka Cruises and operates short cruises in the Baltic. She was specifically built for one night Stockholm - Mariehamn - Stockholm cruises (without car deck) at Aker Finnyards, Rauma, now part of [Meyer Turku];(https://www.meyerturku.fi/en/ships/birka_paradise.jsp); however, provision for conversions to a cruise ship for longer cruises or other regions were taken into account. A notable feature of the vessel is the pool area 'Paradise Beach' which was equipped with light fixtures providing the illusion of sunlight. Birka Stockholm was the 'theme vessel' of the Designs 05 issue of Shippax and received the 2005 Cruise Concept Award.
